Most significant to entering into the lineage of Reiki, you will receive your first attunement – a ceremonial process that allows you to begin channeling this sacred energy. Additionally, this training will explore the true roots of Reiki — its history, cultural origins, essential teachings, pillars and principles. Many Western schools are teaching an incomplete history that inadvertently dishonors the cultural lineage that Reiki comes from. In effort of restoring right relationship and cultural reverence, we will explore the actual roots and learn about Shinto, the indigenous spiritual tradition of Japan from which Reiki emerged. With a connection to the integrity of the lineage, you will also be supported to develop your own relationship to Reiki, one that honors your unique gifts.

Unique to this training, you will receive a foundational understanding of the nervous system, the body's somatic channels, and the ways trauma lives within and shapes the body. You will learn the importance of listening to the body's boundaries and you will be introduced to the core somatic principles of resourcing, titration, and attunement. This education will deepen your capacity and presence in your self-healing experiences. Most significantly, this training offers a healing paradigm that stands in opposition to the mainstream impulse to "fix." Instead, you will learn how to cultivate relationship with your body, your emotions, and your trauma responses — allowing healing to happen through embrace rather than through the attitude of "getting rid of." 

This piece of our training offers an indepth exploration on the human energy field — the biofield — and the way vital force moves through it. We will explore the chakra system, the meridians, the yin and yang currents and how the subtle body and physical body connect and affect each other. We will explore how the energetics mirror the rhythms of the nervous system and vice versa – offering you a variety of pathways to begin intuitively working with your energy field. We will be expanding our awareness to work with this subtle field, with trauma-informed education as the foundation that we approach ourselves with. You will be offered tools & practices to learn to sense, track, and engage the biofield through the somatic channels of your body.
